This industrial project comprises a test cell for Leap 1 aircraft engines and a maintenance centre for GE engines, designed to support advanced testing and maintenance operations. A test cell is a specialized facility where engines are safely run at full power under controlled conditions, allowing engineers to monitor performance, measure emissions, and conduct research and development.
The project is delivered on a fast-track schedule, with the test cell featuring reinforced concrete inlet and outlet towers over 20 m high to safely dissipate air and exhaust from the engines. The maintenance workshop is constructed with a steel frame, while space trusses spanning over 30 m have been employed to provide large, unobstructed working areas. Piling works were undertaken to ensure structural stability for both the towers and the workshop.
Our team provided architectural design, structural and civil engineering, and full coordination, ensuring that all systems and consultants were integrated efficiently. The project combines high-performance engineering, precision construction, and functional industrial design to meet the demanding requirements of modern aerospace operations.
